VETDrone Project in Full Swing

The VETDrone project has started off very well. It says a lot about the commitment of the partners that the first online meeting was already in September, even though the project officially started in the beginning of October. For example, a visual identity, social media channels and a website have been created for the project. The project kick-off meeting was held at Taitotalo in Helsinki in early November, where the progress of several work packages was promoted, and the next stages and responsibilities of the project were reviewed and agreed.

We are now conducting interviews to identify the most relevant skills needs in working life. Based on the results of this extremely important skills needs assessment, the training package’s learning outcomes and learning materials will be developed for learning key skills, including BVLOS drone operations. The project aims to respond to the skills needs highlighted in both the EU and Finnish drone strategies in cooperation with stakeholders.

The VETDrone project is of interest

We have introduced the project at two events organized by the Finnish National Board of Education, the International Days of Vocational Education in Helsinki and the International Days of General and Early Childhood Education in Seinäjoki. The pilot opportunity for teacher training and educational materials, which is open to everyone, is of particular interest.

Finvibes acts as the second coordinator in the project, supporting the practical implementation of the project. We made the project management and dissemination plans to support the implementation and quality management of the project.
